The Art of Layering

Layering, a friend or a foe--or so I thought. I have always been scared of layering simply because I did not want to look like I just woke up and wore whatever I found lying around. However, throughout the years, while I have had some fashion misgivings, I have learned a few things along the way. Here are my tips and tricks to master the art of layering!

SHOP THE POST:

STICK TO SIMPLE COLORS
Layering more than two pieces of different patterns can end up looking a bit too much. By sticking to simple colors of the same color spectrum (think beige, white, brown or heather gray, dark gray and white), layering can be seamless.

SHOP LAYERING PIECES:

ACCENTUATE YOUR WAIST
Under all of those layers, it can be easy to lose your waits! Accentuate your waist by adding a belt or in this case, I just wrapped my leather jacket around my waist to add definition.
BE CONFIDENT
Boy, if I had a penny for every time I got stared at for being adventurous with my fashion sense. While people may think you got dressed in the dark, wear it confidently. A daring look requires confidence. If you look great, you feel great!
