What I Carry in My Carry-On

Product Details:

When it comes to traveling, I try to down-size in what I bring with me as much as possible. One of my biggest fears when traveling was always the "what if's." What if I need all 10 lipstick shades for my trip? What if I want to use a different moisturizer? What if I need my full-size eyeshadow palette mid-flight? Ordinarily, I would pack everything in my carry-on bag (that wasn't liquid) and it would prove to be a major hassle trying to get my laptop out while trying to juggle a huge makeup bag (and not to mention how bad my shoulders would hurt because of the weight). So, I took it as a challenge to pack as little as possible to maximize sacred space in more important areas, such as room for my international magazines and dare I say duty-free shopping! 🙈

Bon Voyage

Outfit Details:
Zara dress (similar here), Gucci shoes (love these too!), CottonOn hat, vintage bag

By the time you read this, I will be in a plane headed to Bolivia for the holidays. While I do sometimes miss the thought of cozying up to blankets and drinking hot cocoa and binging on Netflix, I wouldn't dream of changing my view of palm trees and never ending bougainvilleas on Christmas Day.

Sweater Weather

Outfit Details:

Abercrombie jumpsuit (options below), LOFT sweater (old), Valentino '1975' wedges, Self-Portrait x Les Specs sunglasses

If you ask me what is one key piece every girl (and guy!) should have in her closet, it would undoubtedly have to be a sweater. There is something about slipping into a chunky knit on a chilly morning that makes is just as desirable as cozying into your bed after a long day.

A Gingham Affair

Outfit Details:
J. Crew top (similar), American Eagle Outfitters jeans, Franco Sarto heels, Coach bag

I will be the first to admit that I have never really been much of a gingham fan. Whilst I am a sucker for the prepster vibe, I have always felt that gingham was a little too much. However, I always believe in "never say never" and here I am today, wearing gingham.

The Princetown Mule

Outfit Details:
HM top (similar here), American Eagle Outfitters jeans (old), Gucci "Princetown" mules, vintage bag

Every season, I try to invest in staple pieces that can easily transition from fall to spring. Earlier this year, I bit the bullet and bought a the ever-so classic Burberry trench. A staple undoubtedly a must in every girl's closet, I used the heck out of it in spring and plan to do so this fall.
